Hey friends! Today I’m sharing a tip that I do when creating with layering die cut sets. In particular, I’ll be using the Song Birds from Honey Bee Stamps but this can apply to any lovely layer sets.

I have a video that you can watch down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
Since I explain everything in the video, I will briefly go over the supplies used.
If you have been interested in the lovely layer sets from Honey Bee Stamps but haven’t taken the leap yet, the Song Birds is a good place to start.
I’m using a variety of colors of cardstock from Concord & 9th to create two shades on each bird. This adds a nice bit of contrast.

I did add a bit of ink blending to the tips of the wings using Lucky Clover, Peacock Feathers and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks.

For the background, I added a soft blend using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide and a blending brush. I added a few clouds from the Cottage Countryside die set which I think really helped pull the background together.

My sentiment is from the Big Tim Kindness stamp set. It is stamped in White Pigment ink onto Black Licorice cardstock and heat embossed with Alabaster embossing powder.

I finished the card off with some Crystal Glimmer Enamel Stickers which has a beautiful but subtle sparkle to them.

I love how airy yet Springy this card is. I hope you enjoyed today’s card project.
Thanks for stopping by!

Lovely card, Mindy…..
