Hello my crafty friends! I’m excited to be joining Simon Says Stamp in Day 2 of the DieCember® release blog hop. I have a fun technique to share with you today that I’ve been wanting to try! That technique is alcohol inks on acetate to create these gorgeous windows.
VIDEO
I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
This technique is one I’ve seen Jennifer McGuire do and it’s been on my to-try list for some time. It’s using Acetate instead of Yupo paper to create backgrounds with alcohol ink. It creates a very whimsical and ethereal look.
Since I go through everything in the video, I will briefly go over the supplies used.

For this first card, I’m using the Snowflake Hexagon cut from Luxe Glitter cardstock. It’s a show-stopper!
I used one of my alcohol ink background to create this window in the center.

The sentiment comes from one of my new favorite die sets which is the Basic Trio also cut from Luxe Glitter cardstock.

I was tempted to add an embossing folder behind the die cut but decided to just let this be center stage.

Next we have some gorgeous deep wine red. I saved some of this background and plan on using it with the Wine Glass that was just recently released.

Instead, I created a full panel window and framed it using the Rectangle Infinity die.

I added the Winsome Branch cut from Matte Gold and a sentiment from the Reverse Birthday Celebration.

These give such stunning results to highlight your die cuts.
