Winter Village Mason Jar

Welcome friends! Today I’m sharing this winter village in a Mason Jar scene to create a Christmas card.

I remember going to craft shows all the time and this type of decor always caught my attention. There is just something about creating a miniature world that peaks my interest.

VIDEO

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

Since I walk through the process in my video, I will briefly go over the supplies used.

I started by die cutting with the Winter Village, lots of die cutting. This is a great time to dig out your bitty buzz cutter!

For my Mason Jar, I’m using a light blue cardstock and then ink blending with Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks.

I added flicks of white to my foliage that was die cut using the Lovely Layers Pinecones and also flicks to my winter scene on the mason jar.

An added detail to the foliage that I wanted to point out is the glitter. I added dabs of Distress Collage Medium and sprinkled on Distress Clear Rock Candy. It really adds to the wintery feel.

I had an empty space in the center where my foliage meets and I thought it was a great time to dig out my wax melts. I used the Hugs & Kisses wax melts with the Heart Wax Stamper. Then colored the heart with a metallic paint marker.

My sentiment at the top is from the Home For The Holidays stamp set.

The background that I placed my mason jar on is actually a apart of a freebie pack that comes with your order.

If you don’t have this paper pack, Honey Bee carries a great variety!

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
