Hey friends! Today we are celebrating the Honey Bee Stamps Make It Merry release with an Instagram hop! Be sure to head to my Instagram page to find out how to enter to win prizes and see more inspiration.
Today I’m using the Layering Poinsettia set. The layering sets are always a favorite of mine!
I started by ink smooshing. I used watercolor paper and ink smooshed some Candied Apple distress oxide ink onto a slick mat. I worked with my ink in layers meaning I ink smooshed, dried and smooshed again. This is how you get really cool texture.

Once dry, I die cut out the pieces for two poinsettias. I ink blended the edges with Aged Mahogany distress ink and then flicked on droplets of water.
I attached the layers together with Honey Bee Stamp liquid glue.

I wanted to keep the background fairy simple so I choose this pattern from the Make It Merry paper pad. Then I could attach the flowers with foam squares.
But I’m not done yet!

I added liquid glue to some of the edges and then sprinkled on Distress Rock Candy. It wasn’t drying fast enough for me as I was on a time crunch and put on a little too much glue so I rubbed my fingers into the glue/glitter to flatten it and I think it came out pretty cool.

There is a die to cut out centers for the flower but instead I added some gold pearls.

The sentiment I’m using today comes from the Holiday Wreath stamp set stamped in Intense Black and cut out with the coordinating die.
Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! I’ll be back soon with more
