Dahlia Flower Cover Plate

Hello friends!

Today I wanted to share some inspiration using the Dahlia Flower Cover Plate from Gina k Designs.

This die cuts such a beautiful design.

I started by die cutting a panel of white cardstock using the Dahlia Flower cover plate die and another piece of white cardstock with the Master Layout 2 die. I attached the Dahlia Flower die cut piece to the plain white cardstock that was trimmed out the Master Layout 2 using liquid glue.

Then I ink blended a piece of Layering Weight White cardstock. I used my blending brushes and Red Velvet, Sweet Mango, Wild Dandelion, Lucky Clover and Turquoise Sea Ink.

I die cut out the ink blended panel using the Dahlia Flower cover plate. I inlaid all the pieces into my previously adhered panel using liquid glue. Some pieces stayed in the die which allowed me inlay the pieces easily while others I had to place in with my tweezers.

I die cut out one more panel of the Dahlia Flower cover plate from white cardstock and added on top.

The sentiment Happy is from the Feathers and Flora Card kit. (This kit is currently sold out but will be sold individually on the website in the future). I die cut it once from matte gold cardstock and 2 more times from white cardstock. Then adhered together with liquid glue and attached to the shadow layer die cut from Vellum.

For a smaller sentiment, I used the Summer Silhouettes stamp set.

I stamped the word ‘birthday’ in white pigment ink onto Black Onyx cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I used the Sentiment Strips to trim out the sentiment and add to the front of the card.

I hope you enjoyed this cheerful birthday card!
