VIDEO: Cling & Clear Donuts Combo

Hi friends! My first video of the year and it includes donuts. What a great way to start out right?!

I’ve been a little on the outs lately and it felt great to get back into the swing of things. Not exactly how I wanted to start 2022 but maybe I just got it all out of the way for the year.

My first video of the year features the Cling and Clear Donuts combo. I could not resist this set when I saw it from Taylored Expressions. I mean, how can you resist a good donut right?!

You can watch the video tutorial down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

One of the main reasons I picked up this set is because I think it can be used all year long, not just for Valentine’s Day. So, I decided to stray from the traditional reds/pinks and went for a light blue.

Taylored Expressions has lots of cling and clear combo sets and I think they are so great because you can really customize your backgrounds.

The background is stamped in Chocolate Truffle Ink and the base of the donuts are all stamped in Toffee ink with a clear comfort block.

The first layer of the donut (the glaze) is stamped in Sprinkles and I used all the different donut toppings off the clear set stamping in Cookie Monster ink.

There is also a coordinating stencil. You can certainly leave the card as-is but I thought the sprinkles stencil looked fun.

Using my Make Art Stay-tion, I ink blended on the sprinkles stencil with a blending brush and Cookie Monster Ink.

With my stencil in place yet, I applied Brutus Monroe Glitter Glaze in Fallen Snow. I have a few of their glitter glazes and wanted to give it a try. Lots of sparkle and oh so pretty!

I finished off the card with sentiments from the Mini Strips Donut Worry. Lots of punny sentiments but also great for any occasion.

These sentiments are stamped in Sugar Ink onto Sprinkles cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then trimmed out with the Mini Strips Asymmetrical Die. I actually didn’t want the flap on the ends so I trimmed it off with my paper trimmer.

Then added the sentiments to the front with foam strips.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! It felt so good to get back into the swing of things especially with something so yummy looking!

Happy New Year everyone!
