Keeping It Clean & Simple

Hi everyone! Do you overthink your cards? I totally do! Today I’m sharing a very clean and simple card as a reminder that we don’t always have to pull out all the bells and whistles on our cards.

I fell in love with the design of the new Floral Wishes from Gina K Designs. There were so many things I thought of doing with this stamp set that I started to feel a bit overwhelmed, not knowing where to start first. (insert overthinking here..)

To settle my thoughts, I decided to go for clean and simple.

I simply stamped the image onto In The Navy cardstock with embossing ink. Then heat embossed using Silver embossing powder.

I trimmed the panel down to about 3 3/4″ x 5″ using the Master Layouts 2 die set. I layered up 3 more pieces of cardstock cut to about the same size and added the panel to a white card base. I prefer to layer my panels with cardstock versus foam tape because then it provides even coverage behind the entire panel.

I am using a sentiment today from Simon Says Stamp, die cut from Matte Silver cardstock. I layered 3 pieces together for dimension and added to a shadow layer cut from Gina K Designs vellum. I layered two more die cut sentiments together behind the vellum to pop it up a little from the background.

Super clean and simple and yet very elegant.

Thanks so much for joining me today !
