VIDEO: My Monthly Hero Release September 2021 Blog Hop

Welcome everyone to the release of the My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts for September 2021. This may be my favorite one of the year and there have been some amazing kits this year! The kit this month features a stamp and stencil that you can use separately or together to create this stunning bunch of sunflowers.

For today, I’m going to show you how to do partial die cutting to create a fun edge card since this image takes up a good portion of a card front. I’m also going to show you a little trick I like to do to get my images lined up perfectly with a stencil.

VIDEO

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

The kit this month include:

  • 4″ x 6″ Clear stamp
  • Coordinating Frame Cut
  • 2 Fancy Word Dies
  • 5 Color Layering Stencils
  • 1 Ink Blending Brush
  • 4 Ink Cubes (Butter Bar, Caramel, Rootbeer, Key Lime Fizz)

This kit values at $87 but you can purchase it for just $34.99!! Don’t forget – these are limited in quantity so once they sell out, they are not restocked!

I provide full instructions in my video so below I will list the main supplies used. Please refer to the video HERE for more details.

HELLO EDGE FOLD CARD

  • My Monthly Hero September 2021 Kit
  • Inks: Dandelion, Apricot, Lime Green, Fresh Lawn, Caramel, Cup O Joe, Intensified Black
  • Cardstock: Dove White, Meadow, Glitter Paper Fall

HELLO (INK BLENDED BACKGROUND) CARD

  • My Monthly Hero September 2021 Kit
  • Inks: Dandelion, Apricot, Lime Green, Fresh Lawn, Caramel, Cup O Joe, Intensified Black
  • Glimmer Metallic Inks: Gold & Rose Gold
  • Paper: Glitter Paper Fall, Dove White

Here are a few additional cards I created with some of the Add Ons products this month.

This first card features the Color Layering Pumpkin and Hello Autumn Stamp Set.

I used Apricot, Crimson, Green Apple and Pine for the stamping of the pumpkin.

I heat embossed the swirls of leaves from the Hello Autumn stamp behind the pumpkin in gold embossing powder.

This next card below is quite busy. I have an ink blended background using the Fall Leaves Stencil using Butter Bar, Apricot and Green Apple Ink with flicks of Gold and Rose Gold Glimmer Metallics.

I die cut the Autumn Leaves Fancy Die from some random backgrounds I created a while back with Mica Sprays.

I also used the Hexagon Infinity dies for my sentiment using Dove White cardstock, Glitter cardstock and the Hello Autumn stamp set.
