Large Die of the Month – April 2021 Spellbinders

Welcome everyone! Today I have a card to share featuring the Large Die of the Month for April 2021 from Spellbinders. This one contains lots of beautiful borders that are long enough for slimline cards but can be trimmed down to fit an A2 size card. That’s one of the many reasons I love slimline products. I feel like I’m getting a 2-for-1 and is worth the investment.

I chose just one of the borders included in the kit for my card today. When it comes to using border dies, I’m letting the border do all the work. No need to deck it out with tons of other products, which can look beautiful, but don’t feel obligated to do it.

I did an ink blended background behind my border using Picked Raspberry, Aged Mahogany and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide inks. Then spritzed with shimmer spray to add a little sparkle.

I added my border panel to the background using foam tape to add dimension.

The sentiment THANKS comes from the Small Die of the Month for April 2021. It stretched perfectly across the front of the card.

Then I just added a small sentiment strip that I foiled using the Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate which is a great staple to have in your stash. It has so many versatile sentiments for numerous occasions.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Beautiful card! Cool color choices — sort of tequila sunrise /black /white. Very striking and eye-catching.
    Have a splendid day!

Well, maybe “tequila sunrise” was not quite right… there’s more grey in there than I first thought. But I love the colors you put together!
