Distress Oxide Inks My Favorite Things

Get More From Your Dies with MFT

Welcome everyone and thanks for stopping by. Today I’m sharing how to get more use from your dies by stamping patterns on them. A bonus to this is you can get two cards from one background!

I’m sharing this technique in a video over on the MFT Youtube channel. You can view the video down below or HERE on their Youtube channel.

In the video, I’m using the Four Corners Background and heat embossing it in clear embossing powder onto white cardstock. Then I’ll ink blend Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink.

I’ll then die cut the Grande Greenery Die set from the blended background. Not only can I use the pieces I die cut, but I can also use the negative piece to create another background.

This card also uses the Brush Splatter background in which I heat embossed in gold onto black cardstock.

Both cards were finished off with a sentiment from the Balloon Bouquet stamp set.

Be sure to check out the VIDEO for all the details!

Here is a color board I created that you can save for future reference on the blends used.
