Bee The Queen!

Welcome everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring the Bee The Queen stamp set. This coordinates so well with many of the products from the January 2021 release and has lovely encouraging messages.

I’m going to keep my focal point on the Queen herself which leads me to creating a stunning background fit for royalty.

I stamped the Bees and Flowers Bold Print background onto Hero Hues Dove White cardstock using the Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. Then to change things up from my normal Clear embossing powder, I’m going to sprinkle on White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder and heat set. This adds a beautiful pearlescent shine to the background.

Sticking with the honey-color theme, I ink blended Soft Vanilla, Dandelion, Pumpkin Pie and Caramel inks to my background using a blending brush. I kept the center of the card the lightest to draw attention towards where my image will be. If you find you went a little heavy handed with the inks, you could lightly ink blend Unicorn Pigment Ink to soften it up.

After ink blending, I’ll take a paper towel and wipe away the excess ink from the heat embossed images.

After trimming my panel down and matting to a piece of Hero Hues Premium Cardstock Pitch Black, I added the panel to a white card base created from the Hero Hues Dove White Top-Folded cards.

I added the sentiment by stamping it in Intens-ified Black Ink onto a strip of Hero Hues Dove White cardstock and adding to the front of the card. The final touch was adding my queen bee using foam squares to raise her up above the rest. The strip of white cardstock also really separates her from the background to give her the attention she deserves.

So go ahead, Be the Queen You Are!
