It’s one of my favorite times of the year and that’s the Simon Says Stamp DieCember Release! They always have such amazing new dies and today I’m sharing inspiration using the Simple Stem.
This die cuts out a beautiful delicate stem with leaves. I love how you can get 2 for 1 with these types of dies.
I started by die cutting my Simple Stem from white card stock and also from Holographic card stock. The negative panel I trimmed down with a Large Stitched Rectangle die and layered on top of an ink blended panel.

I added my positive piece into the opening and attached with liquid glue. Then added my completed panel to a piece of Fog card stock.

I finished it off with a sentiment from the CZDesigns Sentiment Strips Reverse Gratitude and added to the front with foam tape.
So clean and simple.

For my next card, I used the positive piece from my previous card.
I also have a background that I created a couple weeks ago using alcohol inks and black alcohol ink card stock.

I simply just added my die cut piece to the front of my panel using liquid glue. With this busy of a background I didn’t need much more then a sentiment.
Did you know the CZDesigns Reverse Sentiment Strips can be foiled? Yep!
It’s really hard to capture everything in pictures but I foiled one of the sentiment strips with gold foil and my mini minc machine.

Then I added my sentiment to the front with black foam squares.

Two completely different cards using the same simple die!
I hope you’ll check out the entire release because it’s amazing!
I’ll have the supplies I used and the full release listed below.
