Welcome everyone! It’s Mindy Eggen and I’m back today to share some inspiration using the SCT May Sampler pack.
While everything in this kit is absolutely amazing, sometimes it can be hard to decide where to start. I want to share with you my process when receiving the SCT Sampler kits. I’m only sharing three here today but the possibilities are endless!
The first thing I do is pull out the items that stand out to me. That would include particular patterns, maybe some stickers or even some word phrases off of the ephemera. In this pack, the rainbows, fruits and butterflies called to me.
I loved the background of the fruit so much that I paired it with a bright yellow card base and added a large Thinking of You word die from Hero Arts that I cut from Black card stock.
The next thing that stood out to me in this kit are the little rainbow stickers. I used them similar to how they were on the sheet but rearranged the order and added them to a white notecard. I didn’t want to take aways from the rainbows, so I just added a small sentiment from the Gina K Designs Hugs stamp set. To tie the colors together, I attached my white notecard to a base made from Coral Reef card stock from Gina K Designs.
Last but certainly not least were these gorgeous bright butterflies. The papers in the sampler pack are double sided and coordinate together so I used one piece of the pattern paper for a base and trimmed down the butterflies for a center panel.
Encouragement cards are in high demand right now so I used the Hugs die cut word and small sentiment from Gina K Designs and added to the center of my card.
Another idea is you could fussy cut out these butterflies and add to a card base with foam squares.
I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and that my process will help you get started crafting with these amazing kits!
