Altenew Cards Stencils

Altenew Build-A-Flower Begonia Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

Welcome everyone! It’s time for a new Builder-A-Flower with Altenew and this month is the beautiful Begonia! This is a monthly subscription plan for our Build-A-Flower set. When signed up, you are guaranteed a spot in our monthly BAF releases and will receive a set each month – at a specially discounted price! ($35.00 →$29.99)

I have two cards to share with you featuring this new set.

For my first card, I stamped my images in some shades of blue using Aqualicious, Dew Drops and Teal Cave. The leaves are stamped with Firefly, Grass Fields, and Shadow Creek inks. Then I used the coordinating die to cut out my images.

For my background, I ink blended Vanilla Cream ink onto white card stock using the Layered Kaleidoscope A stencil. To add a little interest to the card, I squished down some Aqualicious ink onto my craft mat, spritzed with Iridescent Spray and after mixing together, I flicked it onto my stenciled background with a paint brush.

Once the panel was dry, I stamped my sentiment onto the card front with Black Ink.

I trimmed my stenciled panel down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and added to a white card base. I added my florals to the card front with a tape runner except for the flower in the foremost front in which I added with foam squares.

For my next card, I went a little more bold with the colors. I kept the flower colors itself soft by stamping the Begonia in Crimson, Rouge and Blush and the leaves in Firefly, Grassy Fields and Shadow Creek. Then used the coordinating die to die cut them out with my Spellbinders Platinum machine.

For the background, I ink blended the Bubble Wrap stencil onto a piece of Cherry card stock using Velvet ink and a blending brush.

I heat embossed a sentiment by stamping it in Embossing ink onto Pitch Black card stock. Then sprinkled with Silver embossing powder and heat set with my heat tool. (I always prep my card stock first by using an anti-static tool).

I then attached my images and sentiment to the card front with a tape runner and foam squares.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
