Welcome back everyone! I have an adorable Winter Shadow Box to share with you today! There’s always something magical about the first snowfall and these cute woodland critters are taking the time to enjoy it.
I have a video showing how I created all the elements and put the shadow box together. You can view it down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
To set the scene I used critters from For You Deer and Winter Skies. I stamped them on Lawn Fawn White cardstock with Jet Black ink. Then colored with copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut them out.
The box itself it cut using the Shadow Box Die and Woodgrain Cardstock. I thought it added to the woodsy feel of the scene. I also used some pattern paper for my sky in the background using Knit Picky Fall Paper Pack.
Using the embossing pen and textured embossing powder I added snow to the background. I couldn’t resist adding some actual snowflakes with the Mini Snowflakes die and Pixie Dust cardstock. I attached them to the inside of my card with some acetate so it looks like they are falling from the sky.
For a sentiment, I thought this label looked perfect! It’s from the Ready, Set, Snow stamp set which I white heat embossed onto Chili Pepper cardstock.
How absolutely sweet are these critters!?
Be sure to check out the video how everything came together, some copic coloring tips and how to fix boo-boos while cardmaking.
