Anyone that has been following me for a while knows stencils are my jam! I have heaps of them! Funny thing is, I don’t have a snowflake stencil quite like this! This is the Nordic Stencil from Taylored Expressions. How gorgeous is this!? I immediately thought glimmer paste when I saw it.
I have 3 cards to share using the Nordic Stencil, Make It Merry stamp set and Merry Script Die. All of my backgrounds are created using Amethyst, Mermaid and Pool Alcohol Inks on Yupo paper. I used Isopropyl 91% Alcohol to move my inks around. Isopropyl Alcohol also lightens up the colors a bit and has more of a seAmless blend versus using the Blending Solution.
Once my three backgrounds were dry, which was about a good 1/2 hr, I added the Nordic Stencil by attaching it to my background with Purple tape. This makes sure my stencil won’t move while I apply glimmer paste. Two of the cards I used the Moonstone Glimmer paste from Tonic. On my third card, I experimented with using Silver because my Silver glimmer paste was feeling left out.
The one shown above is using the Moonstone Glimmer Paste which takes on the background color more.
Each card is featuring the Merry Script die which I cut from white cardstock and layered 3 times. The card pictured above has some white glitter cardstock as the top layer.
I also white embossed on black cardstock a sentiment from the Make It Merry Stamp set.
