Welcome back everyone! Today’s project is for the Gina K Designs Monthly Mix Challenge over at Stamp TV. The theme this month is make anything but a card. Have you visited Stamp TV? Head over and join in the fun for a chance to win a gift certificate to Gina K Designs!!
I created my own pattern paper to create a gift box. I used a variety of snowflakes from Holiday Wreath Builder Stamp set and Sparkling Snowflake Stamp set which is from the Stamp TV card kit. I am seriously in love with those snowflakes! I stamped them randomly on a piece of Seaglass Cardstock using Blue Lagoon ink. To stamp the background, I used a variety of acrylic blocks as this was easier then trying to stamp with the Misti.
This ink and cardstock have such a gorgeous contrast! Once my background was complete, I die cut a gift box from the Scallop Treat Box die. I adhered my box together using Scor-Tape. This is a super strong adhesive so my box will stay put together. Gina’s cardstock is nice and sturdy which makes the perfect cardstock for treat boxes!
I finished off the box by stamping a sentiment from the Merry and Bright Stamp Set. I masked off part of the sentiment because I only wanted the top portion. Then stamped onto White cardstock with the Blue Lagoon ink. I die cut my sentiment from the Sentiment Label die and adhered to the front of my box with foam tape.
I hope you’ll head over to Stamp TV and join us! There is still time to play! You have until October 31, 11:59pm central time.
