Welcome back everyone! I’m so excited to share this card with you today. I’m going to be doing some emboss resist with Gina K Designs Stippled Flower stamp set and more!
I’m so happy with how this card turned out I may have to make another one so I can keep this one. To create this card, I’m starting with heat embossing with white embossing powder a few of the flowers and leaves from the Stippled Flowers stamp set. I should also note, I’m doing this on Bristol Smooth card stock so I can ink blend.
Each flower will have a gradient look so I’ll be using two colors for each. All of the supplies will be listed down below and also in the video that I was able to put together for this. I like to use mini ink daubers for this because I’m able to control where I put the ink a little better then if I was using a jumbo dauber or blending sponge. Once those are done, I’ll die cut using the coordinating dies.
To create the background, I’m using a panel of Seaglass card stock. I adhere this to my Water Droplets stencil with purple tape so it doesn’t move around while I blend. Then, using a jumbo dauber I apply Seaglass Ink. I love tone on tone with Gina’s inks and papers! It adds a little more interest to the background without completely taking over my focal point.
I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. There are some beautiful sentiments on the Stitched Leaves stamp set. I layer up my flowers and attach the pink and yellow flower with foam squares. Be sure to check out my video how I was able to get a nice even layer! I die cut the friend sentiment from white card stock and layered up 3 of them for dimension. My final layer is using the new Pixie Dust glitter card stock for some sparkle.
My finishing touch is adding these gorgeous Seaglass jewels from Pretty Pink Posh using the Gina K Connect glue and a jewel picker. These colors are so amazing together!
