Who is ready for some super cuteness?! I have a slider card using new dies and stamps from C.C. Designs AND a video to show you how I did it!
I start out with coloring up this cute little puppy from the Puppy Power stamp set. I stamped it onto Neenah white cardstock, colored with copic markers and cut out with the coordinating die. This image was pretty quick and easy to color so I did not have it in the video. I really wanted to focus on how to use the spinner die.
I had the idea in my head that I wanted the puppy to be running towards a bone. I start out with a piece of green patterned paper from the Puppy Love Doodlebug collection. I die cut a stitched hillside with the Winter Border Cutters. Next, I lined up my straight spinner die in the middle of the grass patterned paper and held in place with some post it note tape to run through my Big Shot. This creates the slot for our slider.
I trim another piece of the pattern paper to have behind the slider piece so it makes a solid background otherwise the white of the cardstock base would show through. I’m going to take a long strip of foam tape, fold it in half so I already have a double layer of foam tape. This gives the slider a good amount of room to move around. I remove the backing of the adhesive and apply it to the edges of the slider piece. Removing the backing gives me more flexibility to move the foam tape the way I want it.
Before attaching the slider piece to my card base, I want to add a little strip of foam tape to the middle of the penny, pop that through the backside of the slider slot and attach my image. Then I attach the slider strip to my cardbase which I already prepped with some blue pattern paper. I can then attach my bone to one end and the sentiment piece to the top corner. I also added some clouds to complete my scene. These clouds were from an older C.C. Designs die that is no longer available (sorry!)
