Stencils – Kraftin Kimmie Stamps

Hi everyone! It’s time for another challenge with Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!! Today’s challenge is using stencils which of course I love my stencils!!
Don’t forget to check out the Kraftin Kimmie Blog for all the details on how you can play along with us. There are also some amazing stamps on sale for Frugal Friday so be sure to head over and snag them while you can!
I have TWO cards to share with you today. I remember Kim doing this last year with the Gnomes set and I thought it was an amazing idea so…… I gave it a whirl!
I am using Whimsical Gnomes which is such a cute set! I stamped two images and colored one in green and one in red. Then cut them out with my Scan n Cut machine. For this first card, I inked blended a background using distress inks. Then, I took my snowflake stencil and went over it all with my versamark ink pad. I used Lawn Fawn white embossing pad to heat set it so I would have snowflakes on my background..
Well…. apparently my distress ink wasn’t quite dry and most of my embossing powder stuck to the card but I didn’t want to just throw it away. So….I turned it into a frosted window! Ta – da!!!
I have it set up so it looks like my little Santa Gnome is peeking out the window. I am pretty happy with how I salvaged this card.
For my green gnome, I stenciled in this Holiday Tree Medallion with peeled paint distress ink. Then I trimmed it down and layered it on my card. I cut a small strip of red cardstock to break up the pattern a little and added just a small strip of Silver Glitter cardstock.
It’s hard not to get carried away when you are coloring gnomes and using stencils! Hope this inspires you!
