Boho Flowers & watercolors – Gina K Designs

I finally got a chance  to sit down and play with the Boho Flowers mini kit from Gina K Designs. This is a great card kit package. It contains everything you need to create beautiful cards. I think it took me so long to play with because the hoarder in me had a hard time cutting into any of the cardstock lol.
I will have the supplies listed down below and I have a video for this to share as well.
I started with stamping my butterflies from the Boho Flowers stamp set onto some Tim Holtz watercolor paper using Simon Says Stamp Clear Ink and using Gina K Designs white embossing powder.
Next, I created the watercolor background using my Gansai Tambi watercolors. I have only just recently started playing with watercolors so I’m certainly no professional but they are a lot of fun. I wet my paper first and then applied splashes of blues and greens. I heat set that and then applied a darker color blue all over the top. Similar to how a galaxy background would be created but with different colors.
Then I added some black, pearl and white flicks of paint to the background drying each one in between so they don’t mix. My sentiment I also stamped and heat embossed. The word “YOU” is stamped in Gina K Designs Black Onyx Ink and cut out with the coordinating die which I added using foam squares.
