Hi friends! Do you like my little play on words? I have a holiday card project to share today that highlights how an embossing folder can instantly add major interest to your cards. Simon Says Stamp carries so many beautiful embossing folders, and just look at the texture in those holly leaves!
This card features the Gathered Holly 3D Embossing Folder with its coordinating stencil—one of my favorite combinations for adding quick color and dimension.

I used Trio 21 for the rich green holly leaves and Trio 30 for the vibrant red berries.
For a touch of festive shimmer, I splattered the background with Sparkle Splatter from Spellbinders.

The background panel was die cut with the Eyelet Layer Die, giving the card a delicate, elegant frame.
The sentiment, “have a joyous holiday,” comes from the EZ Strips Christmas Stamp Set. I stamped it in white embossing powder onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it for bold contrast, then trimmed it using the EZ Strips Slanted Rectangles Die—I love how these stamps and dies let you create multiple sentiments all at once!

To finish the card, I popped the embossed panel up with foam tape onto Champagne metallic cardstock for a subtle, luxe shine.
If you’re already thinking ahead to next year’s Christmas cards, this is definitely an idea worth saving. An embossing folder paired with a stencil adds instant texture, color, and elegance—perfect for quick yet special handmade cards. I hope this project sparks some inspiration for your future holiday crafting. Thank you for stopping by, and Merry Christmas Eve! ✨🎄
