Cards Distress Inks Distress Spritz Simon Says Stamp Stencils

BRAND NEW Distress Spritz!

Welcome friends! I’m so excited to be sharing inspiration using the latest product in the Distress Family and that is the Distress Spritz!

These are designed to easily go over ink and other products. Essentially they are pearlized pigments in a clear liquid, dry fast and don’t react to dry inks!

I will create a video once I familiarize myself with the product but this card was my first attempt and I have to say I’m quite happy with how it turned out.

I started by ink blending a panel of Distress Heavystock using Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, and Peacock Feathers distress inks. I did it really hap-hazardly because I honestly just playing around and didn’t expect to turn it into a card. So when I say I created a mess with my blending, I’m telling ya.. it didn’t look good lol.

Next, I used the Lattice Tile stencil from Simon Says Stamp, placed it over my background and applied Distress Collage Medium Matte. I tried to wait until it was dry, even used my heat tool to speed up the process but I may have started spraying while it was slightly tacky.

I took this panel over to my splat box and spritzed over the blended areas with the coordinating color of Distress Spritz. Those colors were Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet.

I’m not even sure I know how to explain the process right now except that it looks super cool! The spritz covered my blending imperfections and added a pearl sheen all over.

See those areas of where I stenciled where it looks like the ink pooled? That’s dry! I cannot wipe those off and looks awesome!

Now because I used Distress Heavystock, I got some texture in the background which I’m completely happy with as well.

Since I wanted to keep the focus on this amazing background, I kept the sentiment simple. I used the Hi There die cut from Black cardstock, paired with a white background layer and popped up with foam squares.

I had used a double sided adhesive sheet to attach my panel since I got a little warping.

I can’t wait to learn more about this product from Tim! It’s definitely one I’m keeping out so I can play with some more!

Thanks for stopping by!
