Welcome friends! Today we are celebrating the new Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp with a blog hop! Hop along for inspiration and chances to enter the giveaway. You can catch Day 1 HERE for more inspiration!

My card today is featuring a new embossing folder called Branching Flowers. I chose this design because of the beautiful flowers.
I have wanted to try this technique for a while now as I’ve seen many people do but have no idea what the name of the technique is lol.
I started by embossing my design using my Gina K Designs Intri-Cut Machine and the recommended sandwich for a 3D Embossing Folder. Now instead of using the side of the cardstock with the design pushed outwards, I’m going to flip it over and used the side where the design is pushed IN.
Using my mini blending brushes, I am going to apply color the flowers and leaves. I used Lilac for the flowers and Cabbage and Artichoke for the leaves. It’s ok if the color gets outside of the debossed area during this process.

Next, I’m going to take a Black Ink Pad and swipe it across the entire card front. I am using the Intense Black Ink from Simon Says Stamp. My ink pad is a felt one which worked really well. I’m not sure how easy it would be with a foam pad but if that is what you have, give it a shot.
The Black ink is catching all the raised portions but because I’m using the other side of the cardstock, it’s getting the background and maybe some details of the flowers and leaves but not a lot.
I think this is such fun technique and would make the recipient go “how did they do that??” .

Next, I added gold splatters to the background and sentiment from the Wild and Free Flowers stamp set.
Super easy today and really has that wow factor!
