CARD DETAILS
For today’s card I’m using Far Out Friends, Birthday Stamp Set/Die and the Twinkle Twinkle Stencil.
I started with copic coloring my images from the Far Out Friends stamp set. I stamped in Obsidian Amalgam Ink from Gina K Designs onto Neenah Solar White cardstock. I colored with copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut out my images with my Spellbinder Platinum 6 die cutting machine.
On a Ranger Silicone mat, I ink blended Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks using blending brushes. I spritzed with water and dabbed up with a paper towel to lift the ink a little.
Using the Twinkle Twinkle stencil and a pallette knife, I applied Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel over the stencil. This creates some gorgeous stars in the background and really starts to pull the outer space scene together. The glitz glitter gel only takes about 15 – 20 minutes to dry especially since it’s such a small application.
After everything is dry, I’ll trim the panel down to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and add to a white A2 size panel. I’ll die cut the word birthday from the Birthday Honey Cut twice from Black card stock and the shadow layer once from white card stock. Then adhere together with liquid glue.
I can now add my images and word by attaching with liquid glue. I placed my Mistis on top for a couple minutes to make sure it really adhered to the textured background.

Great card! The glow you created behind the rocket and the planet on this card really make you feel like you’re in outer space! Lifting the ink with a little water and the paper towel also adds to that feeling! Fantastic!
