Cards Christmas Foiling Picket Fence Studios Uncategorized

Merry Christmas Foiling

Welcome everyone! I have some Christmas cards to share with you today where I did a bit of foiling using products from Picket Fence Studios.

Picket Fence Studios carries a variety of Foiled Impression dies. Let me warn you now … it’s so addictive! I’ll be using my Gemini Foil Press and Gemini Jr Machine today for all of my foiling.

For my first card, I started out with creating my background. On a piece of Mermaid card stock, I heat embossed the Christmas Poinsettia stamp set in Sparkle Embossing Powder. I layered this front panel onto Rainforest card stock with craft foam for dimension. Then attached to an A2 size white card base.

I used the Merry Christmas Foiled Impression Die and foiled it onto Rainforest card stock with gold foil. I also used the outline die to cut out the words and add to my card front.

Look how beautiful this foils!

My next card is featuring the Merry Christmas Foiled Impression again along with the Christmas Leaf Bulb Foiled Impression.

I foiled the sentiment onto Cherry Red card stock with gold foil.

My Christmas Bulb I foiled in gold onto white card stock and ink blended Shabby Shutters and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide inks with my Life Changing Blending Brushes.

Before attaching my foiled pieces, I splattered my background that I made from Kraft card stock with Liquid Stardust.

If you haven’t tried foiling yet, I highly recommend it. It adds so much sparkle and elegance to your cards with very little effort.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!

  1. This is lovely. Do you know if these dies will work with Spellbinders glimmer system? It’s all I have.
