You Rule – Hero Arts

Welcome everyone! My card today is featuring some products from the August My Monthly Hero Kit/Release 2019 from Hero Arts. I think this has to be one of my absolute favorites! It has Kings, Queens, Dragons, Unicorns, Castles and more! I’m a subscriber of the monthly kits but I almost always pick up the Add-ons because they coordinate with the kit so well.

If you like creating with kits, I highly recommend the Hero Arts kits. They have a ton of value in them for a super affordable price. Here is a look at the actual kit contents. I will be creating more from this kit soon!

Today’s card is featuring a die that you can purchase separately. It is called Paper Layering castle. I die cut mine from Neenah Solar White card stock. Then using my copic markers, I just added a little bit of color to some of the elements on the piece.

This die is large enough to cover the entire card front which is what I’m going to do. I will use a piece of Lapis card stock measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. To add a bit of a highlight to the background I ink blended the edges with Cornflower and Grape Juice ink.

Next, I attached my castle to the card front with liquid glue.

You could always add images from the stamp set included in the kit but I loved this just as it was and decided to just use a sentiment. I stamped the sentiment in embossing ink on Black card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I trimmed the sentiment down to a thin strip and attached it to the card front with black foam squares.

This Lapis card stock from Hero Arts is one of my new favorite colors and is just perfect with the Paper Layering Castle. I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
