Sweet Peek Day 5 – SugarPea Designs

Welcome to the Final Preview before the big release for SugarPea Designs!!

My card today is featuring TWO new items from SugarPea Designs. It is the Geometric Floral Coverplate and the Welcome Die.

Starting at one end of a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock I’m going to blend Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Ink only going about half way down. From the other end, I’ll blend Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I start out heavy with the ink and lighten up my pressure as I get closer to the middle.

I can then run my ink blended panel through my die cut machine using the Geometric Floral Coverplate. Using a spray adhesive,  I’ll attach this to an A2 size cardbase.

I’ll use the Welcome die with some white glitter cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and also cut 3 more Welcomes with white cardstock. I like to create dimension with my word dies so I’ll glue all of these together making sure the glitter cardstock is on top.

I also heat embossed the sentiment in white on Peacock cardstock and cut to a thing strip. Once my sentiment and word die were attached, I went around to all the circle openings of the background and added some Nuvo Morning Dew for extra interest.

Be sure to head to the SugarPea Designs Blog for a chance at winning one of FIVE giveaways!
