Today we have an absolutely GORGEOUS new sentiment
set by artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen!!
It’s called HAPPY THOUGHTS!!!
This totally awesome set comes with EIGHT fantastic and uplifting larger sentiments!! Just think of the encouraging creations you can make for those special people that just need a little pick me up! You can use these beautiful stamps as the main focal point of your card or as an addition to a card with a fabulous image! Think of the possibilities!
For my card today, I dug out some more stencils and distress oxide inks. I used Candid Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserve oxide inks and just went around the stencil in rainbow order. Once I removed my stencil, I trimmed this piece down to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and attached to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base. I stamped the fabulous sentiment from the new Happy Thoughts set in the middle using my Misti Stamping Tool and Versafine Ink. Then added a couple sequins for a finishing touch.
I just want to note that I did use Neenah White solar cardstock because I’m out of my Bristol Smooth. That is one of the best things about oxide inks and they blend on almost anything. When using with a stencil you actually don’t have to worry too much about blending so it worked out great!
All of these sentiments are amazing and I plan on doing more with them. They will work fabulous in a project life album! Or even a planner if you decorate your planners.
