After the snowfall we just had, “Sending Warm Hugs” feels especially fitting. Today’s card shows how a strong sentiment and a textured background can stand on their own without a lot of extra layers.
I used the Draping Lights 3D Embossing Folder to add depth and movement to the card front. Once embossed, I ink blended over the panel using the unique color palette from Trio 34. The blend settles into the raised areas of the design and adds soft contrast, making that pattern easy to see from any angle.
Because the background already brings plenty of detail, I kept the rest simple. The sentiment is die cut and layered—stacked together to create dimension—and adhered directly to the center of the design. It stays clean, modern, and intentional, while still giving the card something tactile.
Sometimes the most effective cards are the ones built on just a couple of strong elements: texture, color, and a sentiment that says exactly what you mean.
