Decorated for the Holidays: Window Scene Card

Welcome friends! It’s Mindy here, and today I’m sharing a festive Christmas window scene featuring some beautiful holiday dies from Simon Says Stamp. I love cards that feel like a little story, and this one came together with cozy winter vibes, soft texture, and a touch of shimmer.

To set the stage, I created the background using a brick stencil and Flannel ink, which gives the illusion of the outside of a home on a snowy winter night. Once the background was blended, I added the Balcony Window Die and a simple fence across the front to start building the scene.

With the structure in place, it was time to decorate! I used the Holiday Window Decor Die to embellish the window with classic seasonal elements—little touches that instantly bring warmth and charm to your card. For that magical winter feel, I flicked on white paint splatters to mimic softly falling snow.

To finish it off, I added the die-cut word “jingle” from the Holiday Trio 1 set, cutting it from matte gold cardstock for the perfect pop of holiday shine.

This card has such a cozy, nostalgic feel—like peeking into a festive home all decorated for the season. I hope it inspires you to create your own holiday window scenes!
