Simon Says Stamp has just launched their brand-new Sugar and Spice release, and it’s filled with so many fun and festive designs!

For my card today, I’m featuring the Cool Birthday set with these absolutely adorable critters who are ready for a one-of-a-kind birthday celebration. I stamped the images in Jet Black Ink and brought them to life using my Olo Markers for bright, playful coloring.

To build the background, I added subtle texture with the Threaded Snowflake 3D Embossing Folder. After embossing, I lightly blended Sea Glass Ink across the raised areas, which ties beautifully into the cool tones of my colored images. This little detail adds depth while keeping the background soft enough so the critters really shine.

Once the background was ready, I arranged my party scene on the card front, popping up the images for extra dimension. To finish, I stamped and added the sentiment—simple but impactful, letting the whole scene be the star.
