Welcome friends! The next set in the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember collaboration is from Altenew! I’m such a fan of their products and couldn’t wait to create with this one!
There are a couple options you can choose from, the best bundle being the stamp, coordinating die and a coordinating stencil.
I only have the stamp set to work but you know i ADORE coordinating stencils to color in images. I decided to stretch my creative muscles to frame this beautiful design.
I started by stamping the image with my Misti tool and Pebble ink. I’m leaving the stamp set in place in my Misti for right now.
Next I used the Masking Rectangles stencil to create a focal point and mask off the edges. This can also be done with post it tape.
I ink blended over the image using Taffy, Cantaloupe and Tidepool inks with a blending tool.
I moved my cardstock back into my Misti exactly where I had it the first time, masked off the edges with post it tape following the lines of my blending and then restampted the image in Versafine ink.
Why didn’t I just used post it tape to begin with you probably wonder? Well, it’s because the masks are centered the design for me and making sure the edges are perfectly even. I most likely could not have done that good of a job on my own with post it tape.
These sets are exclusive to Simon Says Stamp and only available while supplies last!
Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
