STAMPtember Blog Party!

Woo Hoo!! The STAMPtember release from Simon Says Stamp is LIVE and hot with inspiration! I’m excited to be joining in this fun blog party with them today with a little bonus surprise at the end of the post.

My card today has a video too!

You can check out the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

Today I’m using the fun Layered Halloween Icons stencil. If you don’t know by now, I love all things Halloween (especially the really creepy stuff!) But I know not everyone does but I hope you still find inspiration in my card and video.

This layered stencil creates a fun pattern background.

I used quite a variety of inks to create this card. When you check out the video, you’ll see that I used a couple colors on each layer to add a little dimension to the icons. Since this is kind of the focus, I put a little extra time into it.

The colors I used are:

I also used a variety of sizes of blending brushes to really get into those smaller areas.

I topped off the last layer of the stencil, which is the black, using Brutus Monroe Gunmetal Glitter Glaze. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find Gunmetal but I found one similar HERE. Check out that sparkle!

Finishing off the card, I have the Witch, Please word die. I cut it from orange glitter cardstock. I was a little worried that would be too much glitter but I think it worked out well.

Here is my first take on this stencil. You can see I switched out the color of cardstock. I like the black that I used above much better then the purple. This card doesn’t have all the additional ink blending of multiple colors and you can totally see the difference.

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!

Don’t forget to head to the Simon Says Stamp to check out all the other amazing designers joining today.
