Concord & 9th Feature Friday

Hello friends! Sharing inspiration today featuring products from Concord & 9th. It has been a blast being a part of Feature Friday and creating with their products.

Today, I’m sharing another tip I like to do while ink blending, especially over stamped images. I may have shown this or talked about it briefly before but really wanted to draw your attention to it as I’ve found it super helpful.

VIDEO

I have a video tutorial for this card that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

The video focuses on the stamp and stencil set Blended Petals.

Whenever I am going to ink blend over a stamped image, I almost always stamp in a light brown or grey ink first. This way, I’m avoiding any bleeding from black ink that COULD happen. Plus, depending on the colors I use for ink blending, this could give me a no-line look if I choose to leave it that way.

The biggest tip is to be sure and leave the image in your stamping tool. That way, if you want to stamp over it with black ink, you can get exact placement.

To ink blend the image I’m using Honeysuckle, Buttercup, Aqua Sky and Eggplant from Concord & 9th.

For the leaves I use Sprout and Parsley.

Stunning results right?

To add subtle interest to the background, I die cut a panel from the Chevron Quilt Top Dies.

Have you ever blended on Concord & 9th white carstock? You should!

It is so super smooth and a fabulous cardstock for blending colors.

This next card features the Popsicle Party stencil set.

I masked off areas so I could selectively ink blend these six popsicles.

The sentiment comes from the Hello Wishes stamp set.
