Gina K Designs August Release Blog Hop Day 3

Welcome everyone! Today is Day 3 of the Gina K Designs blog hop celebrating the August 2020 release. We have 3 days filled with inspiration and a giveaway so be sure to stick around. If you missed Day 1, you can check it out HERE and Day 2 you can find HERE.

Today we are shedding the spotlight on this amazingly packed card kit! Peace, Love and Sushi has something for everyone and if you think you don’t need this Sushi set, you are mistaken. It is so fun and cute!

To be honest, I do not like Sushi. Never tried it, never will so with that being said if I match a sentiment up with the wrong image… that is why lol. But I love the images and all the punny sentiments.

My card below features the stamp set I Like the Way You Roll stamp set from the kit.

I ink blended a panel of layering white card stock with the Sunshine stencil in Sweet Corn ink with a blending brush. Then I used the stitched frame from Master Layouts 2 to cut out my top panel.

The fun sentiment is stamped in Obsidian Ink and then I layered the panel onto Sweet Corn card stock. The chopsticks were adhered down to the center of the card with a dot runner and the bowl of rice is added with foam squares. Super cute and simple right?!

Next, I’m using the Flower Child stamp set. Such a gorgeous and unique image. I will certainly color this up one day but for now I wanted to just blend a panel and who can resist a rainbow?

I used Red Velvet, Tangerine Twist, Wild Dandelion, Lucky Clover and Turquoise Sea inks from Gina K Designs. This was a combination she shared during one of her LIVE videos and I’ so glad I wrote it down. It’s such a beautiful blend on the Layering white card stock.

I stamped the image and sentiment onto the front panel with Obsidian ink and added to a white card front. In case you haven’t realized it yet, I love the Obsidian Ink. It’s perfect for everything!

I finished off the card with a few jewels adhered with connect glue.

Seriously check out that blend! This is the magic of Gina’s inks. It may look rough at first but they have a smoothing agent and they look so seamless once dry.

Here is a graphic you can save to Pinterest for reference.

Last but certainly not least is the Lovely Lotus stamp set. It’s such a magical set. After stamping in Obsidian ink using my Misti 2.0, I added small flicks of colors with some light blue copic markers.

For my intense background, I ink blended Blue Lagoon and Tranquil Teal onto Sea Glass card stock. I stenciled on the Sunshine stencil White pigment ink and after that was dry, I added the Fizzy stencil with White Glitz Glitter Gel.

I was so happy with this card front, I didn’t even add a sentiment. I don’t typically add anything in the inside of my cards. I’m going to leave this blank. That way I can make this whatever I need it to be in the future.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
