Stamp-n-Stencil Blog Hop

Welcome everyone to the Stamp-n-Stencil Blog Hop with Gina K Designs and Thermoweb. I’m so excited to share my cards with your today!

VIDEO DETAILS

I have a video showing how I created these cards that you can view down below or HERE on my blog.

CARD DETAILS

I am totally loving the Glitz Glitter Gel! For this first card shown, I stamped my butterfly in various colors including Innocent Pink, Sweet Mango, Lemon Drop, Key Lime, Sea Glass, and Lovely Lavender. Using the Petals & Wings stencil, I applied the Glitz Glitter Gel for a tone on tone affect. The gel colors used are Bubblegum, Sweet Mango, Gold, Grass Green, Turquoise Sea and Wild Lilac.

I have been asked if there is a smell to the Gel and there is a slight smell to it but it’s not a bad one. Even though these are packed with glitter, they go on so smooth and super easy to clean up. I use a baby wipe to clean up my spatula and stencil.

To create the card base, I start with a white A2 size piece of card stock. Next, using another piece of white card stock measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″, I ink blend Sea Glass around the very edges with a Life Changing Blender Brush. My ink blended panel is attached with Gina K Designs Tape Runner.

I add my butterflies to the card front with white foam squares for dimension. The sentiment is from the All You Need Is Love set. I stamped it in Embossing ink onto Black Onyx card stock and emboss with White Embossing Powder. Then trim to a thin strip and add to the card front with Black foam squares.

My next card is featuring some more of the butterflies PLUS this adorable little ladybug! The ladybug is stamped in Red Hot and Black Onyx ink. Using the coordinating stencil, I added the spots on the ladybug with the Black Glitz Glitter Gel. Oh the sparkles!

For my background, I used these beautiful leaves on the stencil. I started by adding the leaves with Key Lime ink. Then while leaving the stencil in place, I add some Grass Green ink over various areas of the leaves. After removing the stencil, I lightly go over the area with Key Lime again.

The top half of the card is ink blended with Sea Glass ink which blends beautifully withe Key Lime. I’m using a sentiment from the Petals & Wings stamp set. I made one small oops while stamping. I stamped the sentiment in Black Onyx ink when I should have used Amalgam ink. Reason being is you can see the ink soaked into the card and spread out. I didn’t fix it but if you want a cleaner impression, use the Black Amalgam ink. It won’t bleed.

I finished off the card by adding the ink blended panel to a white A2 size notecard and my glitzed up cuties with foam squares.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration. I had so much fun creating with the new Glitz Glitter Gel!
