Neat & Tangled January Release and Giveaways Day 1

Welcome everyone! I’m super excited today as it’s my first official post as a member of the Neat & Tangled Design Team! I’m going to sharing cards featuring the NEW Just Because stamp set that will be released Friday, January 11, 2019 at 8am EST. I have lots of inspiration to share so let’s get started!
This stamp set comes with numerous sentiments and one large scripty sentiment. There is also a coordinating die that you can purchase that cuts out the Scripty Love You word and a shadow background as well. I created numerous background using alcohol inks.
I think this first one is my favorite because of the mix of pinks/reds/purples. All of the backgrounds are created on Yupo paper which is great for alcohol ink techniques. When the background was dry, I applied an anti-static powder tool over the area, stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. You can to be careful when heat embossing on Yupo paper as the paper can melt.
Once it was cooled, I trimmed down the Yupo paper to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and added to an A2 size card with craft foam. I embellished with a few sequins framing the sentiment.
For my next card, I wish I knew how this happened. The alcohol ink formed these amazing looking rings on my background.
I trimmed this panel down to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and added to an A2 size white cardbase. I diecut the sentiment from white cardstock three times and from Pixie Dust cardstock once. Then I stacked them using Connect Glue to form dimension. I also die cut the shadow layer from Vellum and added this to my card panel. I added more sequins to give the card a little sparkle.
Here is another example of creating a background on Yupo with alcohol inks and heat embossing the sentiment in gold embossing powder.
This is such a beautiful sentiment. It’s a great size where it can take front and center on your card.
I have one more to share with you where I again, created the background with alcohol inks on Yupo paper. This time once the panel was dry and trimmed down to 4″ x 5 1/4″, I used the shadow die and cut it out from the center of my panel. I then added foam tape to the entire back of the panel and attached to an A2 size white cardbase.
I die cut the Love You sentient from white cardstock two times and gold glitter cardstock once and layered for dimension. I then added this piece to the center of my window. I also heat embossing a smaller sentiment onto black cardstock with white embossing powder and added under the window.
I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! Lots to share and this was only the first day.
Be sure to head to the Neat & Tangled blog to check out more inspiration. Danielle is also having a giveaway so be sure to comment for a chance to win!
