Welcome friends! I’m excited to be joining Altenew in a blog hop featuring their latest alcohol markers sets: Firewood Garden and Woodland Garden.
I often get asked about the alcohol markers from Altenew and while I do have a couple previous sets, I just hadn’t used them in a while and I don’t know why. These markers are wonderful to color with!
I sat down with this new set, organized and labeled them with the Marker Toppers then got to coloring.
The stamp set I’m using today is the Fragrant Florals from a past Craft Your Life Kit. I stamped it in an alcohol marker friendly ink onto X-Press Cardstock using my Stamp Wheel.
I decided to just use all the marker sets on this one image to get to know the colors.
Here are a few things that I like about these markers.
- they are very comfortable in my hand
- one end is a brush tip, the other is a small nib
- refills available
- color families (helps take the guess work out!)
- marker toppers
Now I’ll be perfectly upfront that yes, Altenew did send these to me. The question is would I recommend them and the answer is yes. I actually want to pick up a few of the other sets now!
If you are looking to get started in coloring or add to your collection, I did enjoy coloring with them and thought they blended wonderfully.
