Welcome friends! Today is Day 2 in the Countdown to Creativity with Hero Arts. We are sharing sneak peeks of the My Monthly Hero Kit for December 2021 – the last kit of the year! And what an amazing year it has been!

The new kit will be available for purchase on Monday, December 6 and 1 pm Eastern on the Hero Arts website.

Are you ready to be swept away? Here we go!

It’s no secret I love silhouette images and ink blending. I love creating scenes like this.

For my card, I die cut this cover plate from black and white cardstock and when layering together, I off set it ever so slightly.

For my background, I wanted to create a scene of water in the background. I masked off the top portion of my card and ink blended Splash and Blue Hawaii Reactive inks. I started from the side of the card, leaving a highlight area in the center. I added just a dab of Navy ink to the edges for intensity.

Next, I masked off the water and to create the sky. I ink blended Dusty Blue, Indigo and Navy working from top to bottom with my darkest color (Navy) towards the top.

For the look of stars, I flicked of white glimmer metallic ink.

I’m really excited to share my projects using this kit and can’t wait for Monday!
