Altenew October 2020 Stamps/Dies/More Release Blog Hop

Welcome everyone! I’m excited to be joining in the Altenew Blog Hop celebrating their latest release! Not only are there stamp and dies but also NEW Mini Blending tools!

I’ve been wanting to try these new blending tools for a while now. I love the flat bottom of these brushes and of course white bristles is always a bonus.

My first card today features the new Simple Roses Stamp set.

I heat embossed the images multiple times onto white cardstock with clear embossing powder.

Using the new mini blending brushes, I ink blended Coral Berry and Ruby Red ink. For the leaves I ink blended Minty Mint and Just Green.

After die cutting my images using the coordinating die, I layered them onto Mushroom cardstock from Concord & 9th. I layered this panel to white cardstock and added to a card base created from Mushroom cardstock as well.

The sentiment is stamped in Black ink onto White cardstock and trimmed down to a rectangle. I love the mixing of fonts on the sentiments in this set. I added the sentiment to the front with foam tape and finished it off with a few clear sequins topped with Sparkling Crystal Crystalline drops.

My next card features the new Sweet Flowers stamp set. This set is a layering stamp set. I used Mountain Mist and Lagoon for my layering colors along with Firefly and Grass Field for the stem.

Since I was having fun working with the mini blending tools, I ink blended a soft background using Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake and Lagoon inks to match my flower. I love how I create such a great fade to white with this new tool

Now these are the mini blending brushes and to ink blend the background would be easier with the large blending brush that Altenew carries. I didn’t have the large one at the time of this card but I am definitely trying them out soon!

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
