Waffle Flower March 2020 Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

Welcome everyone! It’s time for the new release from Waffle Flower and we are celebrating with a blog hop filled with inspiration!

I’m going to start you off with the Tulips Combo. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers! My first card features them stamped in Black ink onto White cardstock. I like to remind myself that you don’t always have to color an image. It will look amazing stamped out.

I paired the stamped image with a background that I ink blended with Tattered Rose and Seedless Preserve Distress Oxide inks. I used the Nesting Ovals and Additional Ovals to cut out the background and Gold Foil cardstock. You can see it leaves this beautiful thin edge.

For my next card, I copic colored my Tulips and used the coordinating die to cut them out. My background here is ink blended with Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks. I then splattered the background with Pink Metallic Ink. I die cut the background and also a piece of white cardstock using the A2 Layers Die and Additional A2 Layers.

Once I had the background cut out, I added my Tulips and trimmed off the excess. I adhered to a card base made from Fog cardstock and stamped a Mother’s Day Sentiment in Versafine Ink.

Another great new set in the release is Little One Baby Stamp Set. I colored my images using copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating die.

The background is ink blended with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks and splattered with water. Then I added the die cut images to the background. I used the cardstock that I had cut these pieces from as a guide so they would line up exactly as they were stamped.

Now I have LOTS of puppies to share! This stamp set, Puppy Power, is so adorable. I created a little scene for them by adding clouds/hills from the Cloudscape Panel Die and a fence from the Over The Fence die set.

I filled up the top half of my card with the Oversized Hello die cut from Black cardstock.

I am a big fan of the Oversized word dies, mainly because I can create any kind of background for them. My next card, I experimented with my Karin Brushmarkers Pro. I scribbled some colors down on a piece of acetate and spritzed with water. Then I smooshes a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock down into the mix.

I love the bright colors of the Karin markers and they didn’t disappoint in a smooshed technique!

I have one more card to quickly share with you and that is using the Be A Unicorn Die. I’ll be sharing more about this on a separate post coming very soon!

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
