Altenew Cards

Altenew December 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series & Alcohol Markers Set K Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello friends! I’m excited to be joining Altenew in their December 2022 Blog Hop featuring the Marvelous Monthly Series Release.

My first card features the Build-A-Garden Rosa Gallica. I love how this spray of flowers kind of stretches out across the card.

The layering stencil is creates beautiful detail to the main flower and simplistic layers to the small flowers and leaves.

The sentiments on this set are amazing! I couldn’t pick just one sentiment so I stamped a bunch of them to frame my flower.

I’m also really excited to see word dies for a couple of the larger words in the set.

I added a bit of ink blending with a coordinating color to the corner and had it fade off into white.

I will definitely be reached for this set again!

Next we have the Craft Your Life Project Kit Watercolor Flowers. Another amazing set that I see myself reaching for in the future.

Again, we have some simplistic ink blending on the layers which I did using some friendly colors. After all the Christmas cards I’ve been making, this was a nice change up.

I masked off an area in the center to ink blend a circle using a light yellow ink. Once again, loving there are coordinating dies for the sentiments so I stamped on in Black ink, cut it out and added with foam tape.

Next I am sharing inspiration with the Lotus Frame. Ooooo this one is sooo gorgeous! I am a huge fan of Lotus flowers and the frame is just so perfect with it. I colored in the Lotus flowers with the coordinating stencil.

The frame I heat embossed on Black cardstock with gold embossing powder then cut out with the coordinating die. I added this panel to another piece of Black cardstock using foam tape. Hard to tell in the picture but it looks so cool like this.

My Lotus flowers are added in the center with liquid glue and foam tape.

For a sentiment, I pulled out one of my favorites which is the Versatile Greetings. I really debated between gold cardstock or white but as you can see, I settled on gold. Either would be pretty though.

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! Definitely keeping these handy for future cards.

Also don’t forget, sign up is now underway for the March Mindfulness Virtual Retreat where I’ll be teaching alongside these amazing instructors!
