Onto the Mixed Media project for today!

Now don’t let the term mixed media scare you. I have a video talking about my approach and how I created this card.

Be sure to stick around at the end of my blog post. This post is part of a blog hop filled with inspiration and giveaways!

VIDEO

You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

Since I explain the process in my video, down below I will list supplies used.

When I’m starting a mixed media card, I look for a few things: a background stamp, a die, a stencil and maybe another stamp set with images or sentiments.

Here I chose the Large Distressed Block Background Cling, Every Which Way Stencil, Monarch Butterfly Fancy Die, Floral Silhouettes and Dream Messages.

I’m also using some of the new Hero Paste White Pearl and Gold Hero Wax. Check out this shine!! It’s sooooo amazing in person!

Here are a few other projects I created for the Summer 2022 catalog.

These are journal pages for a notebook. The backgrounds were sprayed with Acrylic Sprays and then I did stamping using the Gear Clock Bold Prints.

I also threw in a chainlink fence just for fun!

    Dear Mindy
Love the card and the journal pages. The card with the big butterfly is super elegant. Love the colors too. The coloring on the journal pages is bomb as it gives a ancient look to the pages. Thanks for the inspiration.Tc stay safe

  33. Your card is beautiful. That wax looks so shiny and pretty. I really like the journal pages too. I like Steampunk so I’m loving those clocks and gears. Sometimes I have to remember that all mixed media is, is different kinds of mediums that I know how to use. It is intimidating for me also.

  34. Angie N says:

Beautiful card, you break down mixed media and make it not so intimidating.
    Thanks for the inspiration.

  35. What a pretty card! Love the wax on the butterfly and the stenciling!
