VIDEO: Elegant Cross with Gina K Designs

Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a card project using the new Elegant Cross from Gina K Designs to create an Easter card.

VIDEO

You can catch the video for this card down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

This die creates the most beautiful detail.

Although I used it to create an Easter card, keep in mind it could also be used for weddings, sympathy, baptism, confirmation, maybe even Christmas.

I added the sunshine stencil to the background using a blending brush and Sweet Corn ink.

I also splattered on some Liquid Stardust for a little sparkle.

My stenciled panel is die cut out using Master Layout 2. In the video I said I used the plain edge die but I misspoke and actually used the die that provides the stitched edge.

To complete my card, I added the Easter word and shadow die cut from Wild Lilac and white cardstock. My smaller sentiment comes from the Mixed Messages Sentiment Sheets but you could also use the new Spring Sayings Sentiment Sheets.

Here’s a look at the new incentive set Spring Greetings. This set is automatically added to your order when you purchase $75 or more from Gina K Designs.

Beautiful card. Thanks for the tip of blending lightly once the stenciling is done to eliminate the starkness of the white.

Beautiful Easter card. Love the stenciling in the background. It really makes it feel like Easter. Like that you blended over the stenciling so there wouldn’t be any stark white. I’m in love with that cross and, like you, plan to use it for many occasions.

Hi, Mindy – I am surprised that no one has yet mentioned how FANTASTIC it is to see YOU in this video! What a treat! Love the cross – it’s GORGEOUS and I will have to get after placing a GKD order. I love it and I think your card is a stunner. I love the “Easter” sentiment and especially how you did it in purple w/ white backer. You’re just brilliant, lady!!
