Birthday Cards Simon Says Stamp Stencils

Happy Birthday!

Hi friends! I’m popping in to share a happy birthday card I created.

I started with the Balloon Background die and die cutting it from white cardstock.

I could have done a die cut inlay with the the balloons but opted to create an ink blended background because that’s what I do.

I started by ink blending Carnation, Grapefruit and Sunbeam Pawsitively Saturated inks from Simon Says Stamp using a blending brush.

Then I placed the polka dot stencil over the top and added those same colors over the top, maybe I brought in a little Peony and Rouge.

I created this card on the Simon Says Stamp magnetic glass board which is so easy to clean up.

I finished off the card with the Happy Birthday sentiment die cut from Matte Gold cardstock and layered with two more pieces of cardstock cut from white cardstock. I added this to the shadow layer I created with vellum.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love it. The layers… the bokeh / “confetti” stencil, the balloon die, the ink blending, the vellum and the die sentiment….it’s beautifully done. I was very impressed with this SSS release.
