Cards Christmas Distress Oxide Inks Lawn Fawn

Design Team Favorites Week with Lawn Fawn!

Hey everyone! This week over on the Lawn Fawn blog it’s all about our favorites! Today is Day 4 of favorites so be sure to visit the blog to check out Day 1-3 also. Tons of inspiration!

With Lawn Fawn, it’s soooo hard to pick a favorite. What I did was take a look at my cards from over the past year and think about what I seem to consistently reach for. Heads up: I pretty much took all my favorites and combined them onto ONE card.

The first thing I noticed was the Sunburst Background. I love using this on cards. It can resemble a sun, a moon or just the stitched rays pulling your eye towards the center of the card.

Now I know, I know, I’m not ready for winter either but the Snowflake Trio stencil is definitely one of my absolute favorites! For my card, I started withe diecutting the background from white cardstock using the Sunburst Background die.

Then, I ink blended Salvaged Patina, Prize Ribbon, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot distress oxide ink.

I placed the Snowflake Trio over my background, inked it on with Yeti pigment ink and then spritzed it with Shimmer Spray. Honestly, you wouldn’t even need to add images. Just that background alone is awesome!

Another favorite are the squirrels from Let’s Go Nuts. These little guys make me so happy! Maybe it’s because I have squirrels in my backyard that I love to watch lol.

Now two more favorites I have is the Stitched Hillside because it’s so versatile and either the Everyday Sentiment Banners and/or Bannertastic.

I also consistently reach for the Winter Skies stamp set for those trees. Great for any scene!

Now I have one more stamp set that I absolutely love but couldn’t work into my winter card and that is All The Clouds. I almost always have clouds on my cards.

Ok, so I didn’t narrow my favorites down very well lol … but I hope you enjoyed today’s project!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi, Mindy – You did a phenomenal job combining so many faves. It IS hard to narrow down the stamps and dies and stencils from LF to just a few, isn’t it?!

LOVE your card… I never thought of using the Sunburst die to make a full, glowing white moon. Great!

Another card of yours that I absolutely love. You’ve highlighted just how fun it is to combine Lawn Fawn stamps and dies – and what a great result you can get! Awesome card.
