Welcome everyone! There are two things I have been wanting to do lately and that is play with the Delicate Outline Flowers background stamp and watercolor with my Karin Markers. So why not do both?! I also captured it in a video for you!

First I want to preface by saying practice, practice, practice. This isn’t my first time watercoloring but I think this is the happiest I’ve been with my results.

To get this magical look, I started by stamping my background in White Pigment Ink and heat embossing with White Embossing Powder. Then I completely wet my background and dropped in colors from my palette. I’m using 359 Magenta, 654 Turquoise, Neon Violet and 283 Gold from the Karin Brushmarkers. The paper I’m using is the Fabriano Artistico Extra White Watercolor paper because it will hold up well to the amount of water I’m going to put down.

After my first layer is dry, I’m going to go back in and color in the details of the flowers with the same colors as listed above with the addition of 247 Pale Violet, 169 Indigo Blue and 074 Sepia for the centers.

After the panel was completely dry and I removed it from the wood board, I die cut it out with the Master Layouts 2. The allowed me to pick and choose which part of the background to use as my card front and also gives me beautifully finished edges.

I really had intended on using a large sentiment die but didn’t want to cover up my background so I opted for something smaller.

I used the CZDesigns Reverse Sentiment Strips Miss You and die cut one out with the Sentiment Labels die.

I added my watercolor panel to an A2 size white card front with foam tape and the sentiment strip with black foam squares.

To finish it off, I used some beautiful half pearls from Trinity Stamps in Something New along with some liquid glue.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration.
