Lawn Fawn Summer Inspiration Week: Tropical Leaves and Happy Hibiscus

Hello and welcome to Lawn Fawn’s Summer 2021 Inspiration and Release week! On June 24th our 7 new stamp sets and coordinating dies, 16 new standalone die sets, 4 new stencil sets and a colorful new paper collection will be for sale at your favorite store and at www.lawnfawn.com! Woohoo! Until then, I will be sharing lots of inspiration using the new release.

Today is our showcase of Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper collectionTropical Leaves and Happy Hibiscus

Are you ready to get tropical? This card will give you all the tropical vibes!

I first started by creating my Tropical Leaves with Distress Spray Stains. I will be sharing that in a video later on. Then I die cut the Happy Hibiscus from white cardstock and ink blending on Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks in the center of the flowers.

For the background, I ink blended Wild Honey, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks. Then adding splatters of water to add subtle interest.

I layered on the Tropical Leaves and Hibiscus but thought I needed one more thing to give this a tropical feel. That one thing was this cute little flamingo from the Flamingo Together stamp set.

I added the Flamingo with foam squares and used some round iridescent gems to the center of my main flower.

I finished this off with a sentiment from the How You Bean Star set by heat embossing in white onto black licorice cardstock. Then trimming out with the sentiments banner.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and put you in a tropical mood!

Be sure to check out more inspiration over on the Lawn Fawn blog and enter in the giveaways.

    Mindy,
First, the card is cute, pretty, gives me all the tropical feels and is all-around perfect. BUT… You are a tease! You mentioned smthg about a video and now I have to wait for it. You DO realize that I have little to no willpower for such things, don’t you? Hee hee. I guess I will have no choice but to wait.
