Stamping with Distress Oxides

Welcome everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Today I wanted to share a card I made by stamping with Distress Oxide inks. This is something I’ve always wanted to try and thought the Floral Garden stamp set from Simon Says Stamp was the perfect set to try this with.

Before I stamp my image, I’m ink blending a panel of Neenah Solar White cardstock 80lb. with Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks. I’ll be using the dome blending foams because I find I get better coverage with them versus a blending brush.

After I finish ink blending, I stamp this beautiful large floral design using the same colors of ink. I think this came out pretty cool!

I stamped the “Thanks” in Versafine Ink and added a small sentiment from CZ Design Grateful Reverse Sentiment Strips. Since these are printed on white cardstock, I used a black copic marker and colored the very edges so none of the white core is showing. Then added the sentiment to the card with black foam squares.

Hope you enjoyed this little inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll see you again soon.

Girl, your card is GORGEOUS! Wow! So beautiful! As we say in Spanish, “te aventaste!,” which means “you threw yourself”, but implies that you outdid yourself. 😀😀😀
